PurrOS Home screen and sidebar: what you see and where to click

The PurrOS Home screen lists every connected device. Each PurrPRO FORMULA PEDALS or PurrPRO GT PEDALS set appears as a single tile: one tile per set, with a USB status icon and its installed firmware version.

How do I get my pedals to show up?

PurrOS detects your pedals automatically. You can connect them to your PC and their power supplies either before or after you open the application. See Cabling: the correct order for the cabling. If no device is connected, the Home screen says “No FATBLACKCAT device connected” and asks you to connect your PurrPRO device with the USB cable to configure it. A unit you unplug disappears from the Home screen.

What does a pedal tile show?

The tile shows a green USB status icon, with the tooltip Connected, and the installed firmware, for example Firmware v26.39. Click the tile to open the pedal settings page.

The tile is also where firmware messages appear. When a new firmware version is available, a Firmware update available button appears on it. After an interrupted update the tile shows Update didn’t complete, and if PurrOS cannot confirm which pedal set it is, it shows Product not confirmed. See PurrOS firmware updates.

What if I have more than one pedal set?

Each connected unit gets its own tile, and its own card under Quick access. Two units of the same product are labelled Unit 1 and Unit 2. Click a tile to make that unit the active one: the active unit is marked Active. Send to device and Load device profile go to the active unit.

What is in the sidebar?

• Home: connected devices and product news.
• Profile manager: your saved profiles. It is greyed out and not available yet.
• Settings: application settings (see below).
• Quick access: a shortcut straight to your pedals.
• Feedback: opens fatblackcat.io/contact in your browser.
• Community: opens our Discord in your browser.

Click the device tile, or the Quick access shortcut, to open the pedal settings page.

What can I change in Settings?

Your settings are saved when you close the Settings window. Launch at system startup is the exception: it takes effect as soon as you switch it. The options are:

• Launch at system startup
• Start minimized
• Close to tray
• Show tray icon
• Check for app updates automatically
• Telemetry, Sample rate: 1, 10, 100, 250 or 500 Hz. It affects recordings only. See PurrOS in-game overlay and recording.
• Keyboard shortcuts: see PurrOS in-game overlay and recording.
• Create session log file: the log is saved in your DocumentsPurrOSlogs folder.

What does Open SimHub do?

Open SimHub, in the top-right corner, launches SimHub, or asks you to locate it. Your PurrForce haptics can be set up in SimHub: see PurrForce haptics in SimHub: setup.

Where do I find the PurrOS version?

The application version is shown at the bottom of the sidebar.
