01PurrForce: Active Haptic Feedback System
PurrForce is our in-house developed active haptic feedback system for pedals — ABS, wheel locks, TC and more, right under your foot, all designed with minimum latency in mind to improve your performance on track. Integrated within our PurrOS software to bring you under 10 ms latency on track, where every hundredth of a second matters.
02Active Pedal Kinematics Design
PurrPRO FORMULA PEDALS went through extensive kinematics R&D, and we are the only manufacturer in the world to offer true Active Heel Support geometry. A.H.S combined with Non Tilt Pedal Face design offers best-in-the-world input control performance, with the added advantage of ultimate comfort during long driving stints or for drivers affected by past injuries. Ultimate racing pedal in your room.
03Advanced Hybrid Hydraulic Braking System
3-stage braking system for the most realistic feeling brake pedal in simracing. Sophisticated spring based design helps you become faster not only on hotlaps, but also consistent over whole stint:
- First Stage — the initial gap closing between pad and disc or just pedal slack simulation
- Second Stage — the main modulation phase for braking pressure buildup and release trailbraking control
- Third Stage — the braking threshold control for ease of finding tire grip limit at full pedal force
Quickly adjustable thanks to Magnetic Quick Pin design.
04Adjustable Hydraulic Damping
PurrPRO FORMULA THROTTLE and PurrPRO FORMULA BRAKE pedals offer adjustable hydraulic damping effect for total control over pedal feel. The throttle pedal is designed with hydraulic damping adjustment for pressing the pedal. Brake pedal offers independent hydraulic damping adjustment for pressing pedal and releasing the pedal. A twin hydraulic damper system lets you tune both braking phases independently:
- Pedal press — how fast the pressure builds, so your maximum braking force is always under control
- Pedal release — how slow pedal returns to master the art of trail braking: bleed off smoothly, rotate the car, maximize the grip
05Maximum rigidity, minimum weight
Designed using high-strength CNC billet aluminium and carbon composite plates — aggressive design with maximum rigidity for most demanding drivers. High quality components provide smooth operation and ensure best on the market feel and feedback you can find in sim racing pedals. Rock solid construction with mounting brackets that fit all sim rigs on the market, 18 degree tilt allows to setup pedals to your seating position, either more upright rally, tilted back GT or laying formula.
06High quality electronics
In-house developed and Made in Poland electronics. Created by using high quality automotive grade electronic components for maximum reliability and signal quality. USB Type-C connection for true plug-and-play on PC (Windows). Between the pedals, locking Molex Micro-Fit connectors keep the signal clean and the cables exactly where you left them without mid-stint disconnects, no interference, no drama.

10 reviews for PurrPRO FORMULA PEDALS
-
Elastomer-only pedals rely on rubber compression. It degrades over time and never quite feels like a real brake. Our hybrid pairs a 200 kg load cell for absolute precision with adjustable hydraulic damping for a genuine, organic feel: consistency and immersion in one pedal.
-
No. The dampers are maintenance free: no bleeding, no top-ups, no leaks to babysit. The only fluid you will deal with is the coffee going cold while you chase one more tenth.
-
PurrForce control is built into PurrOS 2.0. Shape each effect (such as ABS, brake threshold, traction loss, engine RPM) per pedal and tune the intensity to taste. Prefer SimHub? Fully supported: each pedal appears as its own output, with ready-made profiles on our Downloads page.
-
If your rig takes standard 8020 aluminium profile or a custom pedal plate, yes. The brackets bolt down with M6 hardware (included) and offer an 18° tilt range to suit GT or formula positions.
-
A 3-year warranty covering mechanics and electronics, and a 14-day return policy. Buy with confidence, then keep them for years.

From the very moment you open the box, it’s clear that this is a premium product. The pedals are built with exceptional attention to detail and made from very solid, high-quality materials. Their design alone feels like a small piece of art, but their true class only reveals itself once they’re mounted on the rig.
The precision you get from the brake pedal is simply unmatched. Thanks to the Active Heel Support, your foot maintains constant contact with the base and never lifts off during any phase of braking. This is an absolute game-changer and something genuinely new on the market.
The dampers can be adjusted independently for both brake press and release, which makes control and trail braking significantly easier. Honestly, it sometimes feels like cheating 🙂
Ergonomics are on the highest level thanks to the huge range of configuration options. Whether you have large or small feet, you can dial them in perfectly. You can adjust not only the angle of the entire pedal, but also the angle of the faceplate itself – something I haven’t seen anywhere else before.
On top of that, the kit includes multiple springs and spacers to fine-tune brake stiffness. You don’t need to buy anything extra – everything you need is already included.
The haptics work extremely well. I even abandoned the idea of buying a ButtKicker, because this setup gives me two independent low-frequency transducers that can be fully customized. The vibrations transfer through the entire rig and add a lot of immersion.
I’ve been using these pedals for three months now, and there are absolutely no signs of wear or damage. They feel practically indestructible.
If I had to point out any downsides:
– mounting them to aluminum profiles can be a bit tricky, but you do it once and forget about it
– the numbering on the damper adjustment knobs could be more visible – I often need a flashlight to see it properly
Overall, these are probably the best pedals on the market right now. I’ve also tested top-tier pedals from VRS and Simagic, and spent some time on Heusinkveld Sprints — and these still stand out.
100% recommended.

I’ve owned a wide range of pedals, from basic elastomer setups through to load-cell and pneumatic systems, and now the FatBlackCat pedals. I can say without hesitation that these are the best-engineered pedals on the market. I placed my order prior to the official release, and they were shipped promptly and without issue. I have other members of our racing community that also now own and love them equally as much.

I own them around 3months. I had before some Moza, simagic p2000 and some others. PurrPro is a game changer for me. If u set them up correctly it like race on codes 😅 traction loss. Wheels lock. Abs. Wheel spin. Etc this haptics are awesome. If u spend some time is simhub it’s amazing how u can feel break pedal and braking process from hiring it hard to trail braking. I setup my brake as a 3stages and love it so much. I can with close eyes press 10% or 70-80%. Plus awesome haptic on top and it’s all what u can want from your racing pedals. Aaa and COMFORT is from other world. U can race for days and your legs are super comfy. Love them.

After a couple of weeks of use, here’s some quick feedback on the FatBlackCat pedals.
Background: My previous pedal setup was Heusinkveld Ultimate+ + baseplate + 2× Simagic Reactor (no clutch).
My iRacing rating is around 1700, so I’m clearly not a professional sim racer. This review is therefore based on my limited sim-racing experience, my comparison with the Heusinkveld pedals, and—most importantly—my main goal when buying these pedals: not to gain five tenths on a hot lap, but to be more comfortable during long endurance stints, while keeping at least the same lap times as before.
Price: The FatBlackCat pedals are definitely not cheap, but they are still around €150 cheaper than my previous setup, while offering more at least on the paper.
Delivery: Extremely fast, ordered on Friday at noon in Poland, delivered on Monday early afternoon in France.
Build Quality: Very high-quality finish as far as i can see, nothing to complain about. There was a minor issue with the Heuskinvelt, that i will not developp here.
Installation: Very easy — four bolts and you’re done.
Physical Adjustments: Everything is very easy to adjust, much more so than with my previous setup. One of my main issues with the previous pedals was that they were far too upright, forcing me to compensate using the cockpit pedal plate. With the Heusinkveld set, I tried countless configurations: unbolting everything, changing positions, bolting it all back together again, adjusting the seat… over and over, improving each time the position, but never reached comfort. With the FatBlackCat pedals, the feeling was immediately right.
Another issue I had with the Heusinkvelds was throttle travel: even at the minimum setting, it was too long for my taste. On top of that, the pedal plate was still too high, even at its lowest position.
I’m 1.80 m tall with an average shoe size… maybe the Heusinkvelds are designed for Nordic giants?
Software: Very easy to use. The only thing I’d like is to have brake pressure displayed in kg, to make comparisons with other systems easier.
On simracing tracks: Instant adaptation. I matched my previous best lap time on iRacing by the third lap on the same track I had driven the week before.
Foot position feels very natural, and light braking and trail braking are much easier to control for me. After two weeks, I’m not sure I’m faster, but I’m definitely more comfortable.
Endurance races: Three-hour solo stint with zero leg discomfort. With the Heusinkvelds, after one hour I was already searching for alternative heel positions, and after two hours I was completely cooked, struggling in every corner.
Now, after three hours, my legs are still fresh — I mostly start to feel the limits… of the seat.
Haptics: Nothing much to add, except that they work exactly as I want with SimHub. They don’t wake up my neighbors, and I’m perfectly fine with that.
Support: Very responsive Discord support, with answers within minutes.
Complaints: FatBlackCats stikers should be included in the new boxes and send to previous buyers!
Conclusion: Exactly what I was looking for in terms of comfort and braking precision. The Heusinkveld Ultimate pedals are certainly very good, but for me, the FatBlackCat pedals offer more comfort and better controllability, at a lower overall cost once the Simagic Reactors are taken into account.

A very short summary first:
**They are awesome – I expected a lot from them, and they delivered.**
I seem to be very particular in terms of ergonomics, the usual rigs and pedal setups never feel comfy to me and I only felt happy with my previous pedals, the SimGrade R7 thanks to the big adjustability options and especially the moving heelrest which is a gamechanger to me. So when I saw the PurrPro, I knew I had to get them. Basically a similar concept, but with extras (haptics, 3-stage brake and adjustable dampers, even with compression and rebounce to adjust separately!).
The R7 have a different geometry so swapping to the PurrPro implied adjusting the position on the pedal plate, which I might not yet have found the final position, but I could already do a couple of races and they felt very natural to drive which says a lot about the pedals, usually needs some weeks of adjustment to new ones.
Pros, not necessarily in order:
– High adjustability while keeping it easy to do the changes
– 3 stage brake, just feels awesome
– Robust but functional design while still having great optics
– Easy to set up, it *just* works
– Almost all adjustments are super accessible
– High resolution of the sensors
– Virtually infinite possibilities to adjust the brake pedal feel
– Great packaging, gotta love a well thought one
– High quality materials
– Using magnets in a smart and useful way
– Support in the Discord channel is excellent
Cons:
– The throttle pedal travel adjustment is the least easy one and I struggled a bit. I also feel only position 1 and 2 feel good, might be personal preference but I’d rather have some extra option in between than the super long position 4.
– Would be cool to have an extra softer throttle spring, could be exchanged for one brake spring as that one has endless possible combinations anyway
– The USB connector for the brake seems to “collide” a bit with the pedal base. Don’t think it affects the mechanical connection of the USB, but a bit of extra clearance would be better.
– The instruction manual could be made easier to read (although the schematics help a lot).
– No cat stickers

Sharing my experience with the PurrPRO FORMULA PEDALS.
Doing sim racing now for about 5 years more seriously, I only have past experience with a Logitech G29 set of pedals and then later Fana V3s. The goal was to replace them with the ultimate solution, something that will give me peace of mind for good or at least a very long time. Really good haptics on both pedals. The throttle is good but the brake I really love. It feels like the real thing and provides just the right feedback for precise modulation. Setting it up for my needs took a few days of trying, but these things are amazingly engineered which made the process a positive experience.
I get soreness in my left heel, especially during endurance racing, and this was an issue not entirely addressed by the new brake until I mounted the optional heel cups – perfect now for me and looking at the build quality probably for a long time to come.

Short story -> the best formula pedals on the market, by far margin. They are not cheap but worth any single cent of the price.
Long story below 🙂
I discovered the FATBLACKCAT PurrPRO Formula Pedals thanks to Dan Suzuki and his excellent review, but I also had the luck to meet Patryk in person at the Dortmund’s SimExpo and to test the pedals there. After a few months I pulled the trigger with great satisfaction.
I had the opportunity to test almost all the pedals on the market and these are for me the absolute favorites.
Why are the PurrPROs the best pedals?
They are an engineering masterpiece with top-notch ergonomics and offering adjustability levels that only active pedals can match.
The pedals are always smooth, precise, consistent. They can adapt to all the flavours and my brake traces truly improved after the switch (previously I had an Asetek Invicta set).
Build quality is great and the base package has everything most simracers would need.
How do they fare against hydraulic pedals?
Hydraulic pedals are great but not as adjustable and there’s always a certain risk they will leak and need replacement. Springs plus dampers offer the best of both worlds, with extreme consistency and reliability merged with great feeling. Having 2 one-way dampers on the brake allows to independetly set compression and rebound which is not allowed by any other passive pedal (as far as I know, at the moment of this review).
How do they fare against active pedals?
Active pedals strong side is how quick you can set and adjust all the parameters. They offer a bit more options in terms of resistance, travel, damping, but less on the ergonomics department. Actives are better if you like to change settings a lot, to match the car you are driving. If you are a set-and-forget type, the PurrPROs are better, as they are an order of magnitude smoother. After all, no active pedal on the market is as smooth as top passives.
How are the haptics?
Actually, surprisingly good. They are not just a cheap add-on, they deliver precise and enjoable feedback. I use them to reproduce road vibrations and impacts, paired with an iBeam VT-200 bass shaker mounted under my seat. They work super well and don’t feel “cheap” compared to the big one under my Spack bucket seat. A Simagic exciter would be more punchy and suited for the ABS simulation, but for everything else FBC implementation is better.
What are the cons?
Honestly, no con for modern racing. These are formula pedals, so they are not designed for rally, classic cars or drifting. A clutch is coming and I plan to buy it, I also tested “heel and toe” and I can perform it, but of course a more traditional set would be better in such cases.
Were they worth it?
For me, a strong yes. Compared to my previous set, the PurrPROs are smoother, more consistent and I can pull objectively better brake traces in the release/trail braking phase. Immersion improved a lot thanks to the integrated shakers.
Of course returns are dimishing in the top-end of the market and every simracer could do just fine with a mid-range pedal set. But here we are not just talking about premium look or materials, the PurrPROs are a tangible improvments in all the most important departments. If you look for the best and the budget allows for it, these pedals are the way to go.

My FatBlackCat pedals are my third set of pedals, having started with Fanatec CSL two years ago, and then eventually upgrading to Simagic P1000 pedals. I really liked the P1000’s, but I was never totally satisfied with the position that my feet took during use. I didn’t like the feeling of my heel rising off the pedal baseplate as I increased my input. But I persevered.
When I first saw an image of the FatBlackCat pedals I was intrigued with the active heel support. I was further impressed with some of the other performance and convenience features of these pedals. Although I was not in the market for a purchase at the time, I bit the bullet in short order.
I have been nothing but impressed with the FBC’s. The active heel support totally and completely solved the issue I have always had with repeatable foot position and comfort. They are incredibly comfortable and I like knowing that my foot is in exactly the same position every time I get in my rig and engage the pedals. It is my belief that this has positively impacted my consistency. Game changer.
As a result of the design and features of these pedals, I have found that my trail braking has also improved. Being able to independently adjust the damping of both an increase in input and a decrease in input is a wonderful feature, and its positive results can be seen in my brake tracings.
The FBC pedals are very easy and quick to adjust. Changing springs and testing different combinations of tension is performed very efficiently and without the use of tools. Things like travel and damping are just as easily modified.
I have been nothing but impressed and 100% satisfied with my FBC pedals. The engineering behind the pedals is next level, but what would you expect when the design and implementation is the brainchild of a former F1 engineer? All of this is then backed up with excellent and responsive customer service. I don’t see me ever moving to another pedal.
Findu –
I upgraded from Fanatec V3 pedals. I’ve been using these pedals for about three months now, and I have to say they are still just as amazing as on day one! It’s so easy to quickly adjust and test out different springs and angles much simpler than with the V3s. It really encourages you to experiment a bit. The Active Heel Support might take some getting used to for many people, but it was actually one of the reasons I bought them, and I love it. it’s super comfortable. If I were to nitpick, I’d point out a couple of things. Adjusting the screw mechanism for pedal travel isn’t quite as smooth as the rest of the setup; in my case, it slipped or ended up slightly crooked a few times, even though I thought I’d tightened it enough (though there is great support and a solution available on Discord). The second point concerns the rumble motors: generally, they are easy to configure in SimHub, but there are certain inputs I’d like to set up that aren’t possible (e.g., triggering them based on a specific input level). Then again, that might just be down to my lack of SimHub knowledge xD.

We love the FBC pedals. There is nothing like it. Took us a half day to get used to them, and then the advantages were clear.
Also installed them on the CalTech Pasadena autonomous Indy car simulator for testing and development.
